Born in 1976, Christy Daniel began imagining and creating early in life. Over the years, Christy’s art has evolved and developed through experimentation with numerous styles and various forms of media. Her current work begins with a process of layering oil and acrylic-based paint in order to create a broken and disconnected surface. Her subject matter is compiled of papers and fabric which is then assembled by sewing machine. Inspiration lends itself to Christy’s work through the images of animals, nature and the simple occurrences of everyday life.  Producing mixed media as well as functional pieces, her work is an interpretation of the ways in which life’s experiences shape and influence the human existence.
