Glass is a medium that provides me with endless opportunities for learning and exploration. When I began to work in glass, I loved the way the tools, my hands and the glass all worked together to create a thing of beauty. As I mastered the techniques of cutting, fusing and slumping the glass into objects both practical and beautiful, I gradually learned to understand the glass as a medium with its quirky characteristics. I continue to work in glass because I love the material – the richness of the colors, the flow of the melted glass, the vast range of patterns and textures.

Whether it is referred to as fused glass, warm glass, or kiln-formed glass, the possibilities for expression seem to be limitless and constantly challenge my imagination.
