Jeremy Markham is a freelance artist and photographer residing here in Birmingham. Having developed a passion for art at an early age due to creative parents and watching the colorful robot cartoons of the late seventies, Jeremy decided to pursue a career in art. After attending and graduating from the University of North Alabama where he focused primarily on printmaking he went on to teach high school art for 2 years in Walker county before moving to Birmingham.

Markham's art reflects his love for childhood icons, live music, and inventive design. Equally influenced and inspired by such old masters as Klimt, Durer, and Dore as he is by Go Nagai, Tesla, and Doc Hammer, Jeremy takes a “whatever works best for the project” approach to creating art often combining printmaking, painting, photography, and found objects. Currently Jeremy is focusing on large scale prints based on photos taken over 10 years of attending indie/punk shows and doing work for local musicians as well.
