My Altered Photography is intended to Illuminate on several levels.  I create a transparent Illuminated sphere or box within my digital photographs using computer software.   By enhancing the natural luminosity of my subject matter I am not only sharing the serenity and mystery of these sacred or natural places but enlightening the viewer about the importance of protecting our cultural sites and natural environment.    

My original Light Boxes have evolved into the Sphere shape which is a more organic, fluid, and ethereal shape which better represents the “Shift” we are experiencing as we move from the materialistic model of reality to the new paradigm born from quantum mechanics and metaphysical philosophy that everything is connected.  Of course this is not really new, but rediscovered.

 I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drawing and Painting from The Ohio State University with a minor in Anthropology.  In addition to Art, I have always had a great interest in nature and science as well as ancient cultures and the Metaphysical world.
