I Shoot with a Nikon D70 DSLR these days and although I started out with a Brownie camera and moved on to Nikon 35mm SLR's. I have always loved shooting slide film and black and white. Working in the darkroom and processing the images was as much fun to me as actually taking the photo.
Today, digital has become my medium of choice and it has forever changed the way shoot. I love every aspect of the digital process from the freedom of being able to to shoot hundreds of images to the processing in the digital darkroom, to the printing.
I love getting out in nature and finding the beauty and interest in all that is around me. Light, color, texture and the moods of nature is what motivates and inspires my work. Although I don't have a formal education in photography, I do believe I was blessed with the ability to see and capture the beauty of nature and simple pleasures of life.
Photographers that have inspired me:
Galen Rowell
Art Wolfe
Ansel Adams
Elliott Erwitt
