Glass [Starr, SC]
2401 2nd Avenue North: Brantley Visioneering
When I was six years old I was playing Superman by sliding in my socks on some hardwood floors that my mother just waxed. Instead of stopping, I slid through a French door at the end of the room. The class in the door cut my wrist very deep. At that moment I discovered the power of glass. The nature of glass has many faces, sometimes you see a great piece evolving but you may lose it because glass is such a fragile material. This requires great skill and patience to create forms with harmony of proportion accented with eye-catching colors. Traditional methods are used in a dangerous dance of fire and sand that creates amazing works of art. This is part of its magical beauty. I am a self-taught artist that started working in steel before moving to glass. I have a studio on the beautiful shores of Lake Hartwell in Starr, SC.
