Born in Dalton, Georgia, Kristen Farmer Hall has called Birmingham home for over a

decade.  A graduate of Samford University and the UAB School of Public Health, Kristen

combines her love of science and art to create works in kilnformed glass.

Her early work began in stained glass mosaics, where Kristen honed her skills in glass cutting

and composition.  After five years of creating mosaics, Kristen began a transition to

kilnformed or fused glass.

Fused glass requires careful control and precision, as well as imagination and creativity.  The

result is a wonderful combination.  Much of my work is inspired by clean, modern lines and

retro patterns.  It allows me to take many of my loves and create fun and functional works. 

Her work has been featured on HGTV and WBRC Fox 6, as well as in Portico and Black &

White.
