Everything represented in these images actually occurred, but, not necessarily simultaneously.   At least, not in the conventional linear sense, as we perceive time.

We have deliberately chosen a medium, namely photography, recognized for its ability to capture a “precise moment" in time to explore the possibilities of our interaction with the relativity of time and space.

Furthermore, by presenting this work in a large "panoramic" format, we encourage the observer to view the image in a “cinematic” fashion. (It is deliberately too long to be viewed in a single static gaze) As a result, one typically scans the image from left to right, as we read in Western culture. In this way, the viewer’s interaction with the image is much like an observer of a series of successive events over time, rather than a single “precise moment”. This further enhances the narrative aspect of the work and enables us to present “visual stories” of our experience with a place and its inhabitants.

The subject matter of our work is "mundane" in the purest sense.  We document and reconstruct that which unifies us.  We look for the common denominators of our common experience.  We find humor in our humanness.    We "people watch" people "watching people".  We invite you to do the same.
