Lucinda Caldwell is married, and has two beautiful daughters and one grandson. After a horrible auto accident, Lucinda found herself unable to walk for a year. Lucinda had three surgeries along with months of physical therapy.  Thinking she would never walk again, Lucinda suffered from a mild case of depression. Although she had no formal training, Lucinda started painting to overcome her depression and to relax her mind. Lucinda enjoys painting flowers, children and people. She is currently working on her series “Ladies of the Nile” which include unique paintings of women, with bright African patterns and designs. Lucinda uses mixed media which includes acrylics paints, watercolors, and fabrics on canvas, glass and paper.

Born in Montgomery County, Lucinda currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama where she does volunteer work with kindergarten students in Birmingham City Schools. Retired from Vestavia Country Club after 33 years of service, she now enjoys painting. Lucinda has sold several of her works to residents throughout Birmingham.
