I have been a photographing for over 25 years. My inspiration, joy and my art comes in The Decisive Moment, as Cartier-Bresson described that second of stopping the world. I have always said that it is ‘about the light’, but the place, the smell and my mood can also inform the photograph. I then walk away with a huge treasure of arranged images captured for my perusal later.

We have watched visual artist physically paint; the photographic artist is also thoroughly engaged but in a constrained motion with the body and mind, face and eye. Although you seem to grab the moment, it is just as much as release. For me, it is almost a spiritual and religious experience – a communication, be it animal, vegetable or mineral, where there is no sound that I am aware of other than ‘click’.
